When Mexican dining with a casual appeal is your flavor of choice, Someburros is your likely destination. Not too long ago, we designed, manufactured and installed catering van wraps for the restaurant’s new van. Displaying delicious food images and the company’s logo, it hit the roads and made drivers hungry. When the company added additional vans to its fleet, the management team contacted our graphic artists to create more wraps with appetizing images.

Fleet Vehicle Wraps for Restaurants in Gilbert, AZ

The two vans we initially treated could not be more different. One was brand new off the dealership’s lot. The other one was an older model with a weathered wrap that had indeed seen better days. For this one, we removed the old wrap before proceeding with the prep work. Putting together the look of the graphics was easy! We placed the images of the dishes on the sides of the vehicles as well as on the back.

During its recent rebranding, the company’s logo and color selection changed. The tasty food displays did not. We changed the wraps to reflect the new color. Images depicting the delicious food still appeal from the sides and the back. Overlaying the images is the new look of Someburros’ name and logo. On the vehicle doors, we added the saying, “Fantastic Fiestas Delivered to You!”

Rebranding in the Restaurant Business

When the company rebranded its look on the menus and website, the new design updated a decade-old display that was in keeping with the market needs of the time. Now, competition in the casual Mexican dining niche has grown by leaps and bounds. The company’s president understood the need to stay current and attract new customers.

As a result, Someburros has changed its logo, menus, online presence, interior design and some exterior touches. Case in point is the eatery’s drive-through sign that directs hungry guests to the pick-up window for phone and Internet food orders. These markers present the new green color against a white backdrop. Since exterior drive-through signs for restaurants in Gilbert, AZ, primarily appeal to established customers, they provide tremendous opportunities for creating a gradual buy-in for the new look.

Building signage is not changing at this point. Of course, when Someburros is ready to take its rebranded message to its facade, our graphic artists are available to help the company make the switch.

Multiple Signage Displays Offer Advantages

Although we would usually suggest to our clients that changing out all the signage concurrently is a good idea, there are some advantages to a gradual changeover.

  • Savings. The cost you incur when working with a marketing firm, focus groups and similar outfits to test-drive a new logo design can set you back. While investing in the less expensive print media and website right away is a necessity, exterior signage can wait until the new customers come knocking and spend their money.
  • Multi-tiered appeal. Not only does a company with multiple signage displays appeal to its current customers, but it also appeals to a new demographic. Doing so causes customers to do a double take when they see a message that looks different than expected. Since catching the eye is the ultimate marketing goal, taking advantage of this opportunity makes sense.
  • Familiarity. Give your customers some time to adjust to a new look. Making the transition slowly eases consumers along with the change.
