At Spotlight Signs, we are specialists when it comes to the beautification of office interiors. For so many reasons, the way an office looks and feels is critical. The office is the HQ of a business. Both figuratively and literally it is its center, its base of operations. It is the physical space that represents the company and gives it a material dimension. The office is looked to by visitors and employees alike for an idea of a company’s culture and energy.

An attractive office communicates prestige. It is impressive and that goes a long way. Visitors and employees will be impressed by attractive office interiors. Etched window vinyl, window etching, frosted windows, frosted window vinyl – whatever you call it – is a fantastic way to instantly upgrade the aesthetics at any office. For etched window vinyl graphics in Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale, Tempe, and Mesa AZ, there’s no better team to call than the one at Spotlight Signs.

Privacy with Glass Walls

Glass walls and doors are a beautiful way to make an office look modern and sleek. These types of walls, whether for conference rooms or for offices, have seen an explosion in popularity over the past few years. Though these walls look fantastic, and offices are generally very happy to have them, there is one consequence of the transparency that is sometimes not fully anticipated.

This unforeseen consequence is the lack of privacy that glass walls offer. They not only make it possible for passerby to look into your office or conference room, they invite them to. People look at glass walls because they are cool and once they see something happening within them, they naturally want to investigate. Luckily, we have the perfect solution to this glass wall problem: etched glass window vinyl.

Etched Glass with Colors

Etched glass window vinyl, also known by other names such as frosted glass and dusted glass, is a vinyl that slightly blurs the glass. Words, logos, and designs can be cut out of the vinyl to create the illusion that the glass has been etched, hence the name. Of course, this special vinyl is far less expensive than actual glass etching. It also allows for much more elaborate designs and color can be easily integrated.

Recently, we completed an etched window project that counts as one of our favorites that we have ever done. The commercial real estate firm, NAI Horizon, recently installed a conference with glass walls on all sides. As with so many in their position, they started to be bothered by the total lack of privacy that the fish-bowl conference room offered.

Phoenix Skyline in Etch Vinyl

They wanted to do something interesting with their design that paid homage to the valley of the sun. We created a number of design proposals for them, and they ended up picking one that featured the Phoenix skyline with a number of its most signature structures: Chase Field, the control tower at Sky Harbor, and skyscrapers of downtown.

We also laid colored vinyl over the etch to display the NAI Horizon logo in its full color. It looks great and is a good example of how colored vinyl can work really well over etched or dusted glass vinyl.

The conference room at the NAI Horizon Phoenix office is no longer a fish bowl inviting snooping passerby to peak inside. Instead, it is an eye-catching display of the company’s commitment to their brand and the city that they serve. It is pleasing, interesting, and certainly a communication of prestige.
